SPICY PEPPERED SIRLOIN STEAK

1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2-pound sirloin steak (1 inch thick)
Chopped cilantro

In a small bowl, prepare rub by combining spices, sugar, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Trim excess fat from steak and discard. Press spice mixture evenly over both sides of meat. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours.

Preheat grill on medium-high. Place steak on oiled grill rack. Close lid and cook directly over heat source to desired stage of doneness; turn once. Remove steak to cutting board, cover with foil for 5 minutes before cutting into serving-sized pieces. Sprinkle with cilantro. Makes 4 servings.
