HERBED MUSHROOM ROUND STEAK - Crockpot

2 pounds round steak (about 3/4" thick)
Salt, pepper and garlic powder
Flour
vegetable oil -- to brown meat
1 medium onion
2 (4 ounce) cans mushrooms, canned or 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, condensed
1/4 cup red wine or beef broth
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

3 cups hot cooked noodles

Trim fat from meat. Cut into serving size portions and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Coat the meat with flour, shaking off excess. Brown meat in oil on both sides in skillet.

Place meat, onion slices, and mushrooms in crockpot.

Combine soup, wine or broth, and seasonings; pour over meat.

Cover, cook on LOW heat for 8-10 hours or on HIGH heat for 4-5 hours.

Serve over noodles. Serves 6
