CHRISTMAS EVE MEATBALLS

Meatballs
3 lbs ground beef
3/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
One 1-oz pkg dry onion soup mix
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper

Sauce
1 (15 oz) jar grape jelly
1 (24 oz) bottle ketchup
1 (14 oz) jar pizza sauce
3 tbsp lemon juice

Preheat the oven to 350. Prepare the meatballs, combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Form the mixture into 64 meatballs. Line 2 large baking sheets with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange 32 meatballs on each baking sheet. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the meatballs are no longer pink in the center, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a Dutch oven. Add the cooked meatballs and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat and let stand for 30 minutes. Serves 16 to 20.
