GOLDEN PARMESAN POTATOES

6 cups peeled and sliced potatoes
3 tbsp butter, melted, divided
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
Chopped fresh chives

Preheat oven to 425. Rinse potatoes; drain on paper towels, then pat dry. Brush 1 tablespoon butter onto bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Toss potatoes with combined remaining 2 tablespoons butter and 1/4 cup cheese; arrange potato slices, in several layers, on bottom and up sides of pie plate. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese. Bake 1 hour of until potatoes are tender. Loosen potatoes from sides and bottom of pie plate. Invert immediately onto a serving plate. Sprinkle with chives. Cut into wedges. Serves 8
