SPICY CITRUS RIBS

3 to 4 pounds country style ribs
1 large lemon or 1 1/2 medium lemons, thinly sliced
1 large orange or 1 1/2 medium oranges, sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced
4 cups water
2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 to 4 dashes Tabasco sauce
Place ribs in a shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. On each rib, place a thin slice of lemon, a thin slice of orange, and an onion slice. Roast at 450 for 20 minutes.
Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour sauce mixture over ribs. Reduce oven temperature to 350; continue roasting for 1 hour longer, basting several times. Serves 4 to 6.
