BUTTER BALL COOKIES

1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup confectioners sugar plus additional for rolling cookies
1 tbsp milk
1/4 cup dark rum
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375. Cream together butter, sugar, milk and rum. Add flour and salt to creamed mixture; mix to blend. Stir in nuts.

Roll into balls a little smaller than a golf ball and place on ungreased sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until bottoms are golden. But be careful not to overbake. While still warm, roll cookies in confectioners sugar and cool on wire rack. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
