SPICED APPLE TWISTS

1/4 cup orange juice or water
1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
2 large tart apples, peeled and cored
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar

Place orange juice in bottom of a buttered 9 inch square pan. Unroll crescent dough; separate into triangles. Cut each lengthwise. Cut each apple into 8 pieces and place at wide end of each strip; roll up. Arrange in pan and drizzle butter over tops and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon combined. Bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes or until golden. Serve warm or cold.
