FRIED CHICKEN IN A CROCK POT

Category: Chicken

2 1/2 lbs chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 cup flour
1 tsp each salt, sage or oregano
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Rinse and pat dry chicken. Combine flour with remaining ingredients and coat chicken in flour mixture.

In a skillet, saute butter or oil to 1/4 inch depth and cook chicken over medium-high heat until brown. Place chicken in crock pot, adding wings first but add no liquid. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-8 hours. Serves 4
