RICE KRISPIE PEANUT BUTTER & HONEY BARS

6 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. honey
1 c. sugar
12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 oz. bag of butterscotch chips

Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, place the Rice Krispies & peanut butter but do not mix just yet. Set aside.

In a heavy medium saucepan, heat the honey & sugar just until it is boiling. Immediately remove from heat and pour into the bowl with the cereal & peanut butter. Stir using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula until well combined. Lightly press mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate & butterscotch chips together for 1-2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds or until melted and smooth. Spread evenly over the Rice Krispies. Allow to set at room temperature for several hours or until the bars have hardened. Slice into approximately 30 small bars. Store leftovers in a covered container between sheets of waxed paper for up to 7 days.
