FARMHOUSE CORN SOUP

3 tbsp butter
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 red and green bell peppers, finely chopped
2 (1 lb) pkg frozen corn kernels
2 cups chicken stock
1 cup half-and-half cream
1 cup diced, cooked ham
Salt and pepper, to taste
In a stockpot, sauté vegetables in butter until onions are transparent. Place frozen corn in a food processor and chop into small bits. (This will give the soup a creamier texture.) Add the corn and the broth to the stockpot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients and heat for 10 minutes longer. Do not let it boil. Taste for additional seasoning. Serves 6-8
