CRANBERRY REFRIGERATOR DESSERT

2 cups cranberries, ground
1 large banana, diced
1 1/2 cup sugar, divided
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
6 tbsp butter
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup whipping cream

Combine ground cranberries with bananas and 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside. Melt 6 tbsp butter and combine with graham cracker crumbs. Press 1/2 of crumb mixture into a 9x9 pan. Set other 1/2 aside. Cream 1/2 cup butter, eggs and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Fold in nuts. Spread over crust and top with cranberry mixture. Whip cream with enough vanilla and sugar to taste until soft peaks form. Spread over cranberry layer. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over top and press lightly. Chill 6 hours or overnight.
