LEMON ANGEL CAKE

1 round angel food cake
1 can lemon pie filling
1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed or whipped cream
1 quart (4 cups) fresh strawberries, sliced
2 kiwi fruit, peeled, sliced and quartered

Cut cake into 3 horizontal layers. Place bottom layer, cut side up, on serving plate. Place pie filling in a bowl and stir until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread one-third of the mixture on bottom layer of cake. Top with middle layer of cake, spread one-third of the mixture on top and repeat last layer. Frost the top of the cake with remaining lemon mixture. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.

In another bowl, combine strawberries and kiwi; cover and refrigerate until serving time. To serve, slice cake and spoon fruit over each slice.
