LEMON NUT BREAD

1/2 cup oil
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup nuts, chopped fine
Grated peel of one lemon
Topping:
1/4 cup lemon (juice of 1 lemon)
1/4 cup sugar
Cream oil, sugar, eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan at 350o for 45 - 55 minutes.
For topping: Heat up in a small bowl in a microwave to dissolve sugar. While bread is still warm, poke holes and pour sauce over and allow to soak up into the bread.
