SPICE COOKIES

1 (18.5 oz) pkg spice cake mix
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup crushed cornflakes (see Note)
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup raisins
2 tbsp sugar

Preheat the oven to 350. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, and eggs; mix well. Add the coconut, walnuts, cornflakes, rolled oats, and raisins; mix well. Drop the dough by rounded tspfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets; flatten with a glass that is repeatedly dipped in the sugar. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until set. Cool for 1 minute, then remove from the baking sheets and let cool completely. Makes: 4 to 5 dozen cookies
