DOUBLE GOOD DOUBLEGATE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

3 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups real butter (only)
4 cups flour
2 tablespoons cinnamon
Confectioners sugar to roll cookie dough in
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups chocolate chips
2 cups chopped nuts (I use walnuts)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp ginger
2 tbsp baking soda
2 large eggs

Cream butter, brown sugar and eggs. Combine flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger. Blend this mixture well with creamed butter, brown sugar and eggs. You will need a heavy mixer or use your hands. Dough will be stiff. Add nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla.

To bake form dough into one inch balls, roll balls in confectioners sugar. Bake on cookie sheet at 375, for 8-12 minutes depending on you oven. Do not over bake. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on rack. 12 dozen cookies.
