Shelly's Recipe

* CREAMY CHICKEN CASSEROLE*

2 cups macaroni, cooked al dente, drained
2 tbsp butter
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup minced onion
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
2 cups diced, cooked chicken
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1 tsp tarragon
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 cup buttered bread crumbs

While pasta is cooking, prepare sauce in a 2-quart saucepan. Melt butter and add onions and mushrooms and cooked until tender. Do not brown. Stir in remaining ingredients except bread crumbs and macaroni. Heat through.

In a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, combine sauce and macaroni, toss to coat evenly. Top with bread crumbs and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Serves 4-6
