TURKEY BREAD STUFFING

1/2 cup butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1/4 tsp black pepper, dried oregano, marjoram and
2 tbsp. fresh minced parsley
3/4 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp dried thyme and salt
4 cups dry bread cubes
1 cup chicken broth

Saute onion in butter 5 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and celery and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms begin to brown, about 5 minutes; let cool. Combine all the in a large bowl, stirring in the stock a little at a time until the dressing obtained the desired moistness and toss to mix well. This is enough stuffing for a 10 pound turkey or place in a greased baking dish, cover and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the cover and bake for 10 more minutes.
