SAUSAGE STUFFING

6 slices of bread
Garlic seasoning
1/2 lb ground chuck
1/2 lb sausage
1 c celery, diced
1/2 c onion, diced
1 t diced garlic
2/3 c water
1t poultry seasoning
1t oregano
1t basil
2 tbsp flour
1 egg

Sprinkle bread with garlic seasoning. Cube bread and toast. Set toasted bread aside. Brown ground chuck and sausage in a skillet with celery, onion, and garlic. Drain fat from meat mixture. Add water, sage, poultry seasoning, oregano, basil and flour. Cook and stir for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Place bread crumbs in a large bowl, add egg and meat mixture. Mix gently with hands. Add a little water if mixture seems too dry. Makes a delicious stuffing for poultry or can be put into a greased casserole dish and baked at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
