HOLIDAY STUFFING

16 oz bag herb seasoned stuffing
4 large granny smith apples
2 large sweet onions, chopped
6 stalks celery, chopped
8 oz can sliced & peeled water chestnuts (drained)
1 lb sweet Italian sausage (or half sweet-half hot or turkey sausage)
Prepare stuffing by directions by adding hot water & butter. Add: Sausage (fried & sliced), apples (peeled, cored, cut & sauteed first in butter), onions, celery and water chestnuts, sautéed first in butter. Stuff turkey & cook as directed. Add remaining stuffing in greased casserole dish and bake at 325 for one hour.
