SOUTHWESTERN BEEF STEW

1 1/2 lb cubed steak, in bite-size pieces
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp red chili powder
4 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 (14 1/2 oz) can beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup tequila
4 cups water
1 (28 oz) can chopped tomatoes with chilies
2 clove garlic, minced
1 jalapeno, chopped
4 medium carrots, sliced
4 medium turnips, peeled and quartered
6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered

Combine flour and chili powder in a bowl and coat meat, shaking off excess. Heat oil in a Dutch oven and stir in onions, then the beef and brown on all sides. Add next 7 ingredients and cook over medium heat for 1 hour. Add vegetables and cook for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Serves 6-8
