BACONY CHEESE PUFFS

2 cups biscuit mix
5 slices bacon; fried crisp, crumbled
3/4 cup milk
1 large egg
6 oz cheddar cheese; cut into 12 cubes

Combine ingredients, except cheese, in a medium mixing bowl. Batter will be slightly lumply. Spoon batter evenly into 12 greased muffin tins. Using the back of a spoon, make a deep indentation in the center of each muffin. Press a cube of cheese into each indentation. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
