NEW ORLEANS NOODLES WITH SMOKED SAUSAGE AND SHRIMP

1/2 cup chopped onion, celery and green bell pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper and black pepper
1/2 lb smoked or andouille sausage
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cups chicken broth
8 oz angel hair pasta, uncooked

Saute chopped vegetables in olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in seasonings.

Cut sausage in half lengthwise, the in 1/2 inch circles. Add sausage and shrimp to skillet. Cook 2 minutes or until shrimp begin to turn pink.

Add chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Break pasta in half and add to skillet. Cook 3-5 minutes or until pasta is just done. Serves 4-6
