ASPARAGUS WITH GARLIC AND BASIL

3 lb asparagus, ends removed
3 clove garlic, split in half-and-half
2 sprigs fresh basil
1/3 cup butter
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Layer asparagus in a deep skillet along with garlic and basil. Pour boiling water over to about 1 inch deep. Cover and bring to a boil. Cook for 8 minutes or until just tender. Serves 6-8
