ASPARAGUS TIPS WITH MUSHROOMS IN LEMON BUTTER

1 lb asparagus, tips trimmed approximately top 2-3 inch (save stalks for another use)
1/2 cup butter
2 tsp lemon juice
8 small mushrooms, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste

Melt butter in a skillet; add the lemon juice and mushrooms; saute until the mushrooms begin to darken and release their liquid, about 5 minutes. Add the asparagus tips to the skillet and continue cooking about 3 minutes or until the asparagus is just tender. Serves 4
