CORN FLAKE COOKIES

2 cups sifted flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups shortening
2 cups flaked or shredded coconut
1 cup sugar
2 cups corn flakes

Sift together flour, soda, salt and baking powder. Cream shortening, gradually add sugars and beat until light. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients with creamed mixture. Add coconut and corn flakes. Drop by tspfuls 1 1/2 inch apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-102 minutes or until lightly browned.
