1 1/4 C sifted flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1/4 cup plus 1 tblsp Kahlua
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/3 cup chopped Walnuts

Icing
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp Kahlua
2 tbsp milk or cream
1 1/3 cup powdered sugar

Grease 7 X 11 baking pan. Preheat oven to 350.

Resift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar then beat in egg. Stir in 1/4 cup Kahlua, then add flour mixture, stir until well blended. Fold in chocolate pieces and nuts. Spread evenly in prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until top springs back when touched lightly in center. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Remove from oven and cool 15 minutes then brush tops with 1 tbsp Kahula and frost when completely cooled.

Brown Butter Icing: In a saucepan heat butter until lightly browned. Remove from heat. Add Kahlua, milk, and powdered sugar. Frost Nut Squares and cut into 1 inch squares.
