SHORT RIBS AND NOODLES

4 lbs beef short ribs
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp pepper
1 large onion, sliced
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 cup each sliced carrots and celery
Egg noodles, cooked al dente, drained
Trim excess fat from ribs. Combine flour and seasonings and rub into ribs using all of it. Please in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish; bake at 450 for 30 minutes. Spoon off fat. Lower the temperature to 325 and arrange onion slices over top, pour on tomato past mixed with the water. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until ribs are tender. Last 45 minutes, add sliced vegetables and salt to taste. Serve around ribs.
