CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER DREAMS

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup butter
1/3 cup water
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/3 cup chopped peanuts
4 tsp vegetable shortening

Preheat oven to 350. Beat first 3 ingredients until fluffy. Blend next 3 and add dry ingredients. Mix well. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten to 1/4 inch thickness with bottom of glass dipped I sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool.

In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening. Stir until smooth. Top each cookie with 1/2 tsp chocolate and sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Chill until set.
