CHOCOLATE NUT COOKIES

1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup vanilla baking chips
1 cup chopped almonds

In mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add egg and extract; mix well. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by tspfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 7-9 minutes. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
