CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW COOKIES

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups flour
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp baking soda and salt
16-18 large marshmallows
Icing
6 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cocoa
1/4 cup milk
1 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pecan halves
Cream together butter and sugar. Add next 3 ingredients; mix well. Combine dry ingredients and beat into creamed mixture. Drop by rounded tspfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut marshmallows in half. Press a marshmallow half, cut side down, onto each cookie. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.
For icing, combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Stir slightly; transfer to a small mixing bowl. Add sugar and vanilla; beat well. Spread over cooled cookies. Top each with a pecan half.
