JACK DANIELS BBQ GLAZE

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup oil
3/4 cup finely minced white onion
1-2 jalepenos, chopped (to taste)
1 cup Jack Daniels whiskey
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/3 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
pinch salt, if needed

In a medium saucepan, cook jalepenos and onion in oil just til tender. Do not let brown.

Remove the pan from the heat, then add the Jack Daniels. Boil whiskey and onion over medium high heat til partly reduced, about 5 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer 25-30 minutes, until thickened.
