HONEY MUSTARD BARBECUE SAUCE for Chicken

3/4 c. honey
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp Dijon style mustard
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 clove garlic, finely minced
1/4 onion, minced
1-2 tsp chili powder (or to taste)
1/4 tsp salt

Saute onion and garlic over medium low heat for about 2 minutes, til slightly translucent. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer, and simmer 5-10 minutes, til hot and slightly thickened. Serve. Leftover sauce will keep in the fridge for several weeks.
