GERMAN SAUSAGE CHOWDER

2 Tbsp butter
1 medium onion, chopped
2 Tbsp flour
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 (32 oz) box chicken broth
2 cups pkg shredded cabbage with carrot (coleslaw mix )
2 cups pkg. refrigerated diced potato with onions
8 oz kielbasa, cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
1 tsp dried thyme, crushed
Salt
Black pepper
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

In a large saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook until tender. Stir in flour; cook for 1 minute more. Stir in Broth. Bring to boiling; cook until slightly thickened.

Stir coleslaw mix, potatoes, kielbasa, and thyme into broth mixture. Cook until cabbage is wilted and potatoes are heated through. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Top servings with Swiss cheese. Serves 6-8
