HAM AND ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE

3 cups cooked ham, chopped
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen asparagus or 1 lb fresh
8-10 oz pkg angel hair pasta or thin spaghetti
Sauce
1/4 cup butter and flour
2 1/4 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tbsp minced onion
2 tsp yellow prepared mustard and chopped parsley
1 tsp chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Mix sauce ingredients except mayonnaise in saucepan and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add mayonnaise. Cook asparagus until tender. Cook pasta.
In a shallow casserole or a 13x9 inch baking dish, arrange layer of pasta, ham and sauce mixture. Top with asparagus. Repeat layers. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
