ALL-DAY BEEF STEW (Crock Pot)

1 1/2 lb stew beef or roast beef, cubed
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 pkg onion soup mix
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp A-1 steak sauce
2 large carrots, sliced
2 large celery stalks, sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup water and tomato juice

Brown meat in a bit of oil in a large skillet about 1/4th at a time. Meanwhile, separate onion rings, and add along with remaining vegetables at the bottom of the crock pot. Next add beef and sprinkle with pepper, garlic and soup mix. Combine steak cause and Worcestershire sauce, water and tomatoes juice and pour over the meat.

Cook on high for 30 minutes, then turn to low, cover and cook for 7-9 hours. Note: You can freeze by combining in a large zip-lock freezer bag, label and freeze up to 6 months. The day before you wish to cook, remove from freezer and thaw overnight in refrigerator, then place into crock pot next morning and cook as directed above.
