COUNTRY RIBS WITH APPLES AND KRAUT - Crock Pot

3 lb pork ribs, trimmed of excess fat
1 (16oz) can sauerkraut, undrained
1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
8 oz sliced mushrooms
1 large apple, cored and cut into wedges
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp celery seed

Brown ribs and place in crock pot. Season with salt and pepper. Layer remaining ingredients over ribs. Cover and cook on LOW 7-9 hours or on HIGH 3-4 hours or until meat is tender. Serves 6
