CHEESECAKE RUM BALLS - Easy

1 pkg fudge cake mix
1 pkg Philly pre-made cheesecake filling
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
1 to 1 1/2 tbsp rum or rum extract
2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
Chopped pecans or walnuts
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Preheat oven to 375. Grease and flour 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
With an ice cream scoop, spooned the cheesecake filling onto a cookie sheet and put it in the freezer to harden.
Prepare, bake and cool cake according to package directions.
Crumble cake into large bowl. Stir with fork until crumbs are fine and uniform in size. Add 1 cup nuts, rum extract, confectioners sugar and cocoa. Stir until well blended.
Shape heaping tablespoonfuls of mixture around the cheesecake balls. Garnish by rolling balls in finely chopped nuts. Press firmly to adhere nuts to balls.
NOTE: I like to dip them in melted chocolate and sprinkle them with nuts. Setting aside until hardened.
