PINWHEEL COOKIES

Pastry
1 cup butter, softened
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt

Filling
2 cups pecans, finely ground
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1 tsp grated orange peel

Preheat oven to 350. Prepare pastry: beat butter and cream cheese until creamy. Beat in sour cream. Stir in flour and salt until firm dough forms. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap to chill overnight.

Filling: Combine ingredients. Divide dough in half and roll each out into an 8 inch square, about 1/4 inch thick. Spread filling (1/2 on each square) and roll up jelly-roll style. Wrap in foil and chill 1 hour. Grease cookie cheese and slice 1/4 inch thick. Bake in rounds for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on rack.
