MOCHA ALMOND BARS

Bar:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp instant coffee granules
1 cup sliced almonds

Glaze:
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract
2 to 3 tsp milk

Heat oven to 350. Combine all bar ingredients except almonds in small bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Stir in almonds by hand. Press dough onto bottom of greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

Meanwhile, stir together powdered sugar and almond extract in small bowl. Gradually add enough milk for desired glazing consistency. Drizzle over warm bars. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
