* ITALIAN BUTTER CAKE* - Easy

1 butter cake mix
1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/4 lb butter
2 tsp vanilla
Topping
1 (3 oz) pkg instant fudge pudding mix
1 cup milk
1 (12oz) container whipped topping
Mix cake mix per instructions on box. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Mix the other ingredients together and spread over the unbaked cake. Bake at 350 for 1 hour - 5 minutes or slightly brown.
Topping: Mix pudding with milk and add topping. Spread on cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve. NOTE: Best if serve next day. Variation. Don’t make topping but dust with confectioners sugar.
