ITALIAN HAMBURGERS

6 tbsp dry bread crumbs
1/3 cup chopped onion and green pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
3/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
6 tbsp grated parmesan cheese, divided
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
3/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Hot cooked spaghetti, optional

Combine first 7 ingredients. Add beef and 3 tbsp parmesan cheese; mix well. Shape into 6 patties and cook in a skillet for 2 minutes on each side.

Combine sauce and Italian seasoning; pour over patties. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10-15 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve patties and sauce over spaghetti.
