CARAMEL FUDGE BARS - Easy

1 pkg brownie mix with pouch of chocolate syrup in it
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 (14 oz) pkg vanilla caramsl
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350. Grease bottom only of a 13x9 inch baking pan. MIx together brownie mix (do not include syrup from pouch), milk, vanilla extract and egg with a spoon; reserve 1 cup.
Press remaiing brownie mixture into the bottom of the prepared pay and bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt caramels and chocolate syrup in a sauacepan, stirring occasionaly, until caramesl are melted. Stir in milk. POur over baked layer. Bread up reserved brownie mixture; sprinkle over caramel mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly around edges. Cool completely; refrigerate for easier cutting. Cut into squares. Store tightly covered and, if desired, in refrigerator.
