SPAGHETTI AND BEEF CASSEROLE

3 tbsp butter
2 lb ground beef
2 medium onions, chopped
2 (4 oz) cans mushrooms stems and pieces, undrained
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 tsp ground oregano and garlic powder
2 (7 oz) pkg spaghetti
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
2 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup chopped chives
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs

Melt butter; add beef and onions; brown. Add mushrooms and next 4 ingredients. Let simmer 30 minutes. Cook spaghetti. Drain.

Mix together cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream. Layer in a casserole dish starting with the meat mixture, then the cheese mixture, then the cheese mixture and then the spaghetti. Continue layering ending with the spaghetti. Top with buttered bread crumbs and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Serves 8
