OATMEAL CHOCOLITAS BARS

Category: Bars

Crust
2 cups flour and quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups butter, melted

Filling
1 cup peanut butter chips
1 cup chocolate or hot fudge ice cream topping
3 tbsp flour

Heat oven to 350. Grease a jelly-roll pan. In a bowl, combine the crust ingredients until crumbly. Press half the crumb mixture, about 2 1/2 cups, in prepared pan, reserving remaining mixture for topping. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.

Sprinkle warm base with peanut butter chips. IN a small bowl, combine chocolate topping and flour; pour evenly over chips. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Return to oven and bake 16-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
