MEAT LOAF WITH A COLA GLAZE

About 1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup minced onion
2 tbsp finely cut parsley
1 egg
1/2 cup cola
2 tbsp ketchup
1 1/2 tbsp prepared mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp basil leaves
1/8 tsp pepper

In a bowl, break up meat and add next 3 ingredients; mix well. Beat egg and mix with remaining ingredients. Pour over meat. With a fork, toss lightly to blend thoroughly. Mixture will be soft. Turn into a loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Let stand about 10 minutes before slicing. Serves 6-8
