BLACK BOTTOM PEPPERMINT ICE CREAM PIE

1 (7 3/4 oz) pkg chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed into large crumbs
1 tbsp milk
4 cups chocolate or vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
1/4 cup coarsely crushed hard peppermint candies
1 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate mini chips

Place cookie crumbs in a bowl and sprinkle with milk; mix together and press mixture onto bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Freeze for 30 minutes. Place ice cream in a bowl and stir in candy and chips. Spoon into pie shell, spreading evenly. Cover and freeze at least 4 hours or until firm.
