APPLE TORTE DESSERT

Crust:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/3 cup sugar divided
3/4 tsp vanilla divided
1 cup flour

Filling
8 oz cream cheese softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 cup apples peeled and sliced
1/4 cup sliced almonds

Cream butter, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp vanilla. Blend in flour. Spread dough on bottom and sides of a 9 inch springform pan.

Combine cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar. Mix well. Add egg and remaining vanilla. Pour into pan.

Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon. Toss apples in sugar mixture. Spoon mixture on top of cheese layer. Bake at 450. for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 400. and bake 25 minutes. Cool.
