SKILLET SHRIMP BISQUE

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives or green onions
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) chicken broth
1 lb. raw Shrimp - peeled and deveined
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley (optional)
1 cup half and half or milk
In 10 inch skillet, over medium heat in hot butter, cook mushrooms and chives or onion and garlic until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour until smooth.
Gradually stir in chicken broth. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Add seafood. Reduce heat to low. Cover, simmer about 5 minutes, or until seafood is done. Stir in half and half or milk and parsley. Heat through.
