MISSISSIPPI MUD COOKIES

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
3 cups rolled oats
6 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1 tsp vanilla extract

Bring sugar, milk and butter to boil. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from heat. Stir in cocoa and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients to coat well. Drop by tbspfuls onto waxed paper. Allow to set up.
