SALSA RANCH DIP with Variations

1 packet dry ranch dip mix
16 oz sour cream
1/2 cup thick and chunky salsa
Fresh chopped tomatoes and diced green chiles (optional)
Tortilla chips, for dipping


Combine dip mix with sour cream. Stir in salsa, and extra tomatoes and chiles, if desired. Chill 1 hour. Serve with tortilla chips.

I added shredded Mexican blend cheese and some cilantro.

Smoky Ranch Dip: Stir in 2 tsp finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and 1 tsp adobo sauce from can

Barbecue Ranch Dip: Stir in 2 Tbsp. barbecue sauce. Serve with roasted red new potatoes.

Lime-Cilantro Ranch Dip: Stir in 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice and 1 Tbsp. chopped cilantro.

Lemon-Parsley Ranch Dip: Stir in 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice and 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley. Serve with steamed asparagus.

Horseradish Ranch Spread: Stir in 2 tsp. prepared horseradish. Spread on dinner rolls, and top with thinly sliced deli roast beef.
